In DeKalb County, nearly 140,000 people, including nearly 40,000 children, are food insecure. The Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Community Food Experience (CFE) is a discussion-based, interactive simulation that identifies major barriers to food security in our region. Tucker Cluster stakeholders participated in the CFE For this special hands-on meeting.

September’s TCC meeting featured a presentation by local entrepreneur Laura Bolsen of STEM for Every Child, BOE and E-SPLOST Budget issues updates by DCSD 4 Representative Allyson Gevertz, an explanation of Open Work Orders by the District’s COO Dan Drake, along with information from Regional Superintendent Trenton Arnold and shared news from Tucker’s feeder schools’ Principals.
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) announced it is holding five (5) public meetings to seek public input on proposed options to address the E-SPLOST “GO” Bond budget. The proposed options were presented to the Board of Education on July 8, 2019.
