September’s TCC meeting featured a presentation by local entrepreneur Laura Bolsen of STEM for Every Child, BOE and E-SPLOST Budget issues updates by DCSD 4 Representative Allyson Gevertz, an explanation of Open Work Orders by the District’s COO Dan Drake, along with information from Regional Superintendent Trenton Arnold and shared news from Tucker’s feeder schools’ Principals.
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) announced it is holding five (5) public meetings to seek public input on proposed options to address the E-SPLOST “GO” Bond budget. The proposed options were presented to the Board of Education on July 8, 2019.

May 2019’s TCC Meeting at Brockett Elementary School featured a “State of the Region and Tucker Cluster” presentation by Region 2 Superintendent Trenton Arnold, supported by most of the Region 2 Cabinet. Tucker Cluster Principals shared individual school updates, several parents and community stakeholders voiced concerns, and DCSD Region 4 Rep. Allyson Gevertz informed us of recent news.

Tonight’s meeting included 1st semester highlights from our Tucker Cluster Principals, information about the Positive Behavior Incentive and Supports Program (PBIS) being implemented at Tucker Middle School, access to 2 opportunities to help our schools through the STEM programs, QBE information as presented by our Regional Superintendent Trenton Arnold, as well as information from our newly elected District 4 Board Member, Allyson Gevertz.
